Established in March 2020, the TARS Foundation is an open source microservices foundation under the Linux Foundation umbrella. Its mission is to build a neutral, robust and diversified microservices ecosystem.

The TARS Foundation is a nonprofit, open source microservice foundation. It focuses on open source technology that helps businesses embrace microservices architecture as they innovate into new areas and scale their applications.

The TARS Foundation is also dedicated to solving problems that may arise in the use of microservices, including reducing the difficulty of development and service governance. It aims to accommodate multiple programming languages, consistent data transmission, data storage, and ensure high performance while supporting massive requests.

Now the TARS Foundation is actively recruiting TARS Ambassadors who will be advocates and evangelists of projects and technologies. They are also passionate about open source and willing to educate the wider community about the projects and technologies.

The TARS Foundation will provide TARS Ambassadors a platform to share their stories and expertise. As a TARS Ambassador, you will be given priority to receive invitation to speak for the TARS Foundation at various international conferences. The Foundation will also help promote your technical articles or blogs to different social media channels to increase your brand exposure. Meanwhile, the Foundation has partnerships with leading companies in the IT industry, and TARS Ambassadors will have the opportunities to connect with these enterprises.

As long as you actively participate in the activities of the foundation and have contributed to the TARS Foundation in your field of expertise, you can become a TARS Ambassador!

More concretely put, TARS Ambassadors qualify the following:

  • Already engaged with the project in some way as a contributor, blogger, speaker, etc.
  • Willing to speak at community events or write technical content or blog posts.

Once you become a TARS Ambassador, your short biography and headshot will be displayed on the ambassador page on the TARS website.

Currently, there are more than 10 ambassadors from different companies that have joined the TARS Foundation. We welcome all folk interested in joining!
